Admission

Any international who is a graduate of secondary school may apply for the ESLI.

The ESLI admits students who have the financial ability to pay for their studies. Each applicant must complete the necessary application for admission to the ESLI. The individual or entity assuming the responsibility for the scholar is required to complete the Statement of Financial Guarantee and the Financial Certificate.

Prospective students must complete the written application prior to the issuance of Form I-20 as required by the U.S. Immigration Service. Exceptions are applications made for a scholarship student by an official agency of the student’s government. Students receiving scholarship from governments or sponsoring agencies should provide a separate Statement of Financial Guarantee.

Application should be received at least thirty days prior to the beginning of the session. The application should be accompanied by a check or money order for $ 50.00 payable to the ESLI. The application fee is applied to tuition cost. This fee is non-refundable and is not transferable.

Student Visa

Upon receipt of the Application of Admission and the $ 50.00 application fee, the student will be sent a Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20). The certificate must be taken to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in order to make an application for a Student Visa (Form F-1). Proof of sufficient funds to study in the United States is also required. This certificate is for full-time study at the ESLI and may not be used any other purpose. Failure to attend ESL classes may result in the loss of a student’s student status and subject the student to deportation.

** Insurance fee is a monthly fee and is subject to change.
All ESLI fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. Fees are based on eight weeks. Subsequent fees are non- refundable upon expulsion from the ESLI.

Tuition Refund Policy

Students in good standing who voluntarily withdraw from the ESLI during the session may receive an adjustment prorated on a weekly basis.

Tuition adjustment are based on the date classes begin and the date of withdrawal. Students withdrawing form the ESLI must complete an “Application for Withdrawal” form. This form can be picked up at the Office of the ESLI Coordinator.
